The movement

  1. 1Set the bar on your upper back and stand facing a box about knee height.
  2. 2Step one foot fully onto the box and drive up through that heel until you are standing on it.
  3. 3Step back down under control and finish all reps before switching legs.

Watch out for

Step down, never jump down, with a bar on your back.

3 sets·8-10 reps

No history for this one yet. Start lighter than you think you need — you should finish every set feeling like you had four or five more reps in you. You can always add weight next session; a strain costs you weeks.

Set the pin low for your first set and add from there. Nothing is lost by starting too light on day one.
