Before your first rep

  • Rope set at roughly head height.
  • Thumbs pointing back, step away until the cable is taut before the first rep.

The movement

  1. 1Set a rope at roughly head height and grip both ends with thumbs pointing back.
  2. 2Pull the rope toward your forehead, letting your elbows travel out and back.
  3. 3Squeeze for a beat, then return under control.

Watch out for

If your shoulders shrug up toward your ears, drop the weight.
