Working hardestAssisting

The movement

  1. 1Set the bar on your upper back as you would for a squat.
  2. 2With soft knees, push your hips back and let your torso tip forward, keeping your back flat.
  3. 3Drive your hips forward to return upright.

Watch out for

Start with an empty bar. This looks simple and punishes ego quickly.

No history for this one yet. Start lighter than you think you need — you should finish every set feeling like you had four or five more reps in you. You can always add weight next session; a strain costs you weeks.

Set the pin low for your first set and add from there. Nothing is lost by starting too light on day one.
